* If you're seeking the feel of a big, solid car but can't find anything that doesn't scream SUV, try the 2014 Ford Taurus. Luxury car features abound in this big sedan, and the SHO model should win over enthusiasts forced by circumstances to abandon their tiny 2-seat sports car. Source: KBB.com

* The Ford Taurus has aggressive front and rear styling that signals a high level of precision. With clean sharp lines and a fair share of attitude, this sedan is offered in four models: the base SE, SEL, Limited, and SHO. There are 3 amazing engine possibilities with the Taurus: All models except the SHO have the standard 3.5L Ti-VCT V6, with the 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 as an option. The SHO gets the exhilarating 365-Horsepower 3.5L EcoBoost V6. It combines twin turbochargers with direct-injection technology to deliver consistent acceleration and 25 MPG HWY. A 6-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission helps this turbocharged, direct injection powerhouse deliver plenty of torque for acceleration and passing. All-wheel drive is optional in the SEL and Limited, and standard in the SHO, and delivers true enthusiast performance. For fuel efficiency, the 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 engine has a best-in-class EPA-estimated 32 MPG HWY. Inside, the Taurus is crafted to soothe your senses, starting with soft-touch surfaces throughout. Enjoy the comfort of heated and cooled, massaging front seats and a heated steering wheel, available for Limited and SHO trims. Depending on the model you select, enjoy one of the two SYNC systems that come with or are available for your car. SYNC offers possibilities like hands-free calling, Bluetooth music streaming from your phone, audio driving directions, a navigation system with touch screen, and more. Taurus comes standard with Anti-lock brakes, AdvanceTrac Stability Control, and Traction Control. 2014 introduces the Lane-Keeping System available for Limited and SHO models. It uses a series of alerts to tell you to re-center the car in your lane if it senses you are in danger of drifting out. The top two trims also have the option of Adaptive Cruise Control that automatically adjusts your speed if there is slowing traffic ahead, and Active Park Assist that can identify spots for you to parallel park and then steer the vehicle into place by itself. We just bought our 2016 Ford Taurus SE and we could not be happier with it. No initial quality problems and the value for a family sedan is outstanding. I like that our family of 4 fits so easily in it since the kids are now grown up and bigger than Mom and Dad. The standard features such as rear view camera and hands-free calling with Ford Sync are great.

This would be my forth car I've owned since I've started to drive in '97. I've owned an '88 Honda Accord, '97 Pontiac Sunfire, '02 Toyota Camry and now this 2011 Ford Taurus SHO. I bought this simple because I wanted something new and fun and I'm a sucker for a sleeper and in my opinion this is the ultimate sleeper car. This has way more creature comforts than I'm use to coming from the Camry. Auto lights and brights, heated and cooled seats, back up camera, navigation, ambient lighting, motorized adjustable seats and foot pedals, I'm sure there are more but that's all I can think of. Safety wise I think it's better than the Camry too with side airbags. The comfort of the drive is about the same as the Camry and you can go long with no issues. Overall I'm very happy with this car. As for the real reason I bought the car and wanted the car was the power. 365hp with 350ftlbs of a torque. It's a blast to drive. Power and torque for days and so smooth. My dad always had toys and higher horse power cars and this was my chance to get the best of both worlds and own something that is fun to drive and functional. Part of the reason I bought this car was that the entire engine or long block was replaced by FordMoCo. It was a deal I couldn't pass up and so far I'm not regretting it. All I'm worried about are the transmission and PTU unit going out but plan to have both serviced soon. I did a tune up with coil boots and spark plugs and knock sensor. It runs great! The only issue I have is the transmission. If you down shift with the paddle shifters or even in automatic it will sometimes make a hard knock and shutter the car. I looked it up and it's a common thing were the computer or transmission doesn't know what gear to go into and mainly while down shifting it'll force itself into that gear. Most notable at lower speeds. I've heard from mechanics that these are solid transmissions and I've seen these cars with 2 or 3 hundred thousand miles on it. So we'll see I would like to get it rebuilt if I could. Overall this is a great car for what I want and need it for.

This is easily the best car I have ever owned. The speed for a car of this size is amazing and the economy isn't bad. It can compare with some of the fasted luxury car models, and for the price it can compete.
